I was thinking burnout at 7mph seemed possible. But yeah around 70ish should work out to redline in 3rd gear . Too bad 77 wouldnt work! But I bet modding the rev limiter to allow 7700 rpm could do it. Then its true commitment.

I was taking a look at this since I was curious:

So with the 5speed, 3rd should be around 80 whereas with the 6speed it would be closer to 70. So 5speed should be able to get close to 7k rpm at 77mph .

A star for the digital instrument cluster. My aunt had a 323 five-door with the digital gauges; I thought at the time that the future predicted by science fiction had finally arrived.

Perfect! I have the six-speed. Now I just have to put a post-it on the cluster to remind me of it when the odo approaches 157,777.
